Daniel Leturesh
BOARD CHAIRMAN Daniel Leturesh first joined the Amboseli Ecosystem Trust (AET) team in 2011 as the Board Chairman. Over the past 12 years he has served as the chairman of Olgululi/Ololarrashi group ranch. Leturesh brings with him a wealth of experience, having been on the helm of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF). The CDF has been ranked the second best for 2008-2010 and fourth best 2011/2012 country wide. He is a long serving member of the Amboseli-Tsavo group Ranches Association (ATGRCA). 
David Western
BOARD MEMBER Having been in the forefront of conservation matters in the Amboseli Ecosystem, Western brings with him an incredible wealth of scientific research coupled with invaluable experience with pastoralist communities. He led a team of experts and the Amboseli ecosystem stakeholders to formulate the Amboseli Ecosystem management plan (2008 – 2018) which is the first of its kind in the region. Western began research into savannas ecosystems at Amboseli in 1967, looking at the interactions of humans and wildlife. His work has served as a barometer of change in the savannas and has provided evaluations of conservation solutions based on the continued coexistence of people and wildlife. Western directed Wildlife Conservation Society programs internationally, established Kenya’s Wildlife Planning Unit, chaired the African Elephant and Rhino Specialist Group, and was Founding President of The International Ecotourism Society, Chairman of the Wildlife Clubs of Kenya, Director of Kenya Wildlife Service and Founder of the African Conservation Centre in Nairobi. He is an Adjunct Professor in Biology at the University of California, San Diego and the University of Minnesota. David Kitasho is the Vice Chairman of the AET. He is a Member of the Board of the Ewuaso Nyiro South Development Authority (ENSDA), a member of the Eselenkei Group Ranch and a member of the ATGSA Board. He is the senior warden Porini Conservancy which is one of the leading conservancies within the Ecosystem
Richard Chepkwony holds Masters and Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Management from Moi University. He is the AET Board Secretary, a position reserved for the KWS. He is representing the KWS on AET Board. He is currently the Senior Warden of the Amboseli National park. Johnson Sipitiek is representing African Conservation Centre (ACC) on AET Board as treasuer. He is currently the Conservation Development Enterprise Manager at ACC and a member of the ATGSA Board. Sipitiek holds a Masters degree in Environmental management from Kenyatta University. Amboseli Ecosytem Trust is a registered charitable Trust incorporated under the provisions of the Trustees (Perpetual Succession Act) chapter 164 of the Laws of Kenya - Reg. No. 156/01/198/MMIX. After developing the general management plan, stakeholders created a Trust that will oversee its implementation. The Trust herein “Amboseli Ecosystem Trust” was established. It is mandated to mobilize resources for the implementation of the 10 years management plan. The supporters and funders of the Trust are key players in the ecosystem.
