He has great wealth of experience in natural resource conservation and management which is of utmost importance to AET in executing its programs. The position key roles are to spearhead the development of conservancies in the ecosystem in terms of streamlining management structures, registration of conservancies with relevant legal entities, coordinating infrastructural development within conservancies in line with AET strategic objective of improving community livelihoods through realization of benefits from tourism related activities. Kaaka holds a Bachelor’s Degree and Diploma in wildlife management and conservation.
The Amboseli Ecosystem Trust brings together the communities and organizations of Amboseli to develop land use practices that improve the livelihoods and wellbeing of communities through the coexistence of people and wildlife. This is to keep the Amboseli Ecosystem rangelands open, diverse and healthy for the benefit of people and wildlife.
